Ahh yes, but you may have missed the announcement of Server 2008 R2 features. In fact, they are adding .NET runtime (this was the missing part needed in 2008) and Powershell v2 to the server core install. I think you may be able to download the beta 1 of 2008 R2 and check it out now on the connect site!
