I am a newbie to mailgraph. got it working a couple ofweeks ago on a freebsd box with (much appreciated!) help from this list and from the freebsd port maintainer. I saw your posts to the list indeed. Congrats on getting it working > > the install in freebsd seems similar to yours: > - /var/log/maillog > - ,cgi-bin directory in /tmp/mailgraph > > and it works. Hehe, I'm getting daily stats written to the yearly graph...so I guess you could say that - in some way - it's working :) here are a couple of pointers, maybe they help ? > > 1. what is the permission of /var/log/maillog and to > which user/group is it assigned? /var/log/maillog is root:root and as of today 644 in FreeBSD I had to edit the appropriate line in > /etc/newsyslog.conf so that when the file is rotated > the new, empty file is accessible to the user running > mailgraph. Well, in this case, that would be logrotate which accepts post-rotate commands 2. what is the content of /tmp/mailgraph/,cgi-bin/ ? > are there png files in there or not ? Yep there are .png's in there for sure, with mod dates of minutes ago, the last time the age was reloaded and images generated -Colin -- Unsubscribe mailto:mailgraph-request@list.ee.ethz.ch?subject=unsubscribe Help mailto:mailgraph-request@list.ee.ethz.ch?subject=help Archive http://lists.ee.ethz.ch/mailgraph WebAdmin http://lists.ee.ethz.ch/lsg2.cgi |
